SKR Engineering college alumni association was formed with the objective of having a forum for past students of SKR Engineering College, Chennai. Over the years, the association has associated itself with the college in every possible event and been a part of the activity.

In January 2011, a new set of executives took over the affairs of the association with some clear objectives. 

1. Re-establish full-fledged contact with the past students of SKREC, Chennai.
2. To establish a regular line of communication with the alumni.
3. To support the college as a place of excellence in teaching and research by fund raising activities through its membership.
4. To conduct several programmes under the banner of the association for the benefit of the students.
5. To promote and support various activities, both curricular and extracurricular of the college. 

1. To conduct alumni meet every year
2. To conduct guest lectures, organize industrial visits and offer opportunities for placements, projects and internships to benefit our current students.
3. To conduct technical seminars, training programmes by alumni working in MNC/tier II companies/reputed organizations through training and placement cell to make the current students industry ready.
4. To coordinate or organize interested alumni would meet the faculties and students and have an open interactive session.
5. Website updation to keep alumni informed about the happenings in the college through latest news.
6. To bring a newsletter which will have details about the new developments in campus.

Chennai 2 nd July 2016: S K R Engineering College, Nazarathpet, Poonamallee, on the 11 th Graduation day Ceremony felicitated University Rank Holders and its Graduates.

Dr.S.Ganesan, Registrar, Anna University graced the occasion as Chief Guest and delivered the Graduation Day address. The Chief Guest awarded Certificates to University Rank Holders and Degrees for 415 Graduands.

Dr.M.Senthil Kumar, Principal while welcoming the gathering in his introduction speech highlighted briefly about the college, how it is pioneering success, year by year both in academics and placement, because of the dedicated efforts of teaching faculty and well established infrastructure available in the campus.

Dr.S.Ganesan, Registrar, Anna University on his graduation day address spoke about the following:

“He appreciated the college whole heartedly for concentrating in various activities. He told the graduands to get ready to make all the impossible possible. He wanted the graduands to create a new world where there is no poverty, unemployment and wanted to bring Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam’s dream to come true. He wanted to aim for the biggest and wanted the graduands to be the role model for future.”

At the Graduation Day ceremony, 415 students from various Engineering Departments and MBA & MCA Departments received their Degree Certificates..

Thiru.K.Ramadoss, Chairman, presided over the function. Thiru.K.Vasu, Secretary, Smt.Suganthi Ramadoss, Director – Students Affairs, Smt.S.Geetha, Joint Secretary, were also present on the occasion. Thiru.S.Suresh Babu, Treasurer concluded the function with Vote of Thanks.
