Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established during the year 2005. The department offers a four year degree program in Mechanical Engineering with an initial intake of 60 and increased to 120 students from 2014-2015.It has excellent infrastructure facilities in keeping with latest trends and requirements and well reputed faculty members. It aims at preparing the students to face the challenge of the materially-conscious and technologically fast-developing world. It means to transform the students into young engineers with sound technical knowledge, leadership skills and decision-making abilities. This preparation results from the discipline and commitment of the students, leadership of the management and distinction of the faculty. The Department periodically conducts Guest lectures, Industrial visits, Symposiums, Seminars etc. through its parent body “Association of Mechanical Engineers” for the benefit of students. The efforts of our committed faculty members are really towards producing compete students with excellence in knowledge and character. The department periodically organizes conferences, FDPs and workshops in coordination with AICTE, ISTE, AU, SAE and TEDA etc for the benefit of both the academic and industrial community.
Mission
To impart quality technical education in the field of Mechanical Engineering ,to share knowledge and dissemination of our new discoveries, to develop the professional potential of quality students and to prepare them to compete successfully in today’s job market and for lifelong learning.
Vision
The Department of Mechanical Engineering strive the students into highly qualified mechanical engineering graduates with high standards to meet the trends and requirements of the industries, to conduct state-of-art research and also mould them into committed personality towards the building of nation.

SAEINDIA is India's leading resource for mobility technology. As an individual member driven society of mobility practitioners the ownership of SAEINDIA wrests with its members who are Individuals from the mobility community, which includes Engineers Executives from Industry, Government Officials, Academics and Students
SAEINDIA is an affiliate society of SAE International registered in India as an Indian nonprofit engineering and scientific society dedicated to the advancement of mobility industry in India.
The officers in Section Governing Boards, Operating boards and Committees share the onus of its efficient functioning here. All efforts are on now with a single minded purpose to propel the automotive engineering profession by focusing on three trends occurring in the automotive industry today that affect all automotive engineers and engineering societies.
The first of these trends is simultaneous engineering the integration of the roles of design engineer, manufacturing engineer, supplier, marketer, and planner. The second trend is the increased reliance of auto manufacturers on suppliers and design houses to support the design and manufacturing functions. A third factor crucial to an internationalized auto industry is standards as communication, as a basis for regulation, and as an aid to interchangeability.
Global standards have become a necessity, and the responsibility for developing them falls on internationally recognized standards-writing groups and, ultimately, on the individual engineers who participate in standards work.
Membership
- SAEINDIA is one of the few professional engineering societies whose membership represents practically every engineering and scientific discipline. Its members combine their specialized abilities to further advance the research, development, design, manufacture and utilization of vehicles which operate on land and water and in air and space.
- Membership provides for regular members to have access to emagazine- either Automotive Engineering International or Aerospace Engineering magazine. These award winning magazines target hot topics about ground vehicle and aircraft developments to provide members with a valuable resource for keeping pace with the rapidly changing technology in the mobility industry.
- Members can purchase SAEINDIA and SAE International technical papers and publications at member discount prices.
- Members receive free registration at SAEINDIA's lecture meetings and exhibits. This unique benefit puts the members in touch with other professional engineers and suppliers who determine the future of the expanding mobility industry worldwide.
- SAEINDIA regularly plans and offers many career development activities such as job fairs, career enhancement sessions, resume/recruitment boards, and resume database services. Professional development seminars are also available at special member discounted rates, as well as undergraduate and graduate scholarship programs.
- Access vital high-tech mobility information through renewal registration fee for attending SAEINDIA National and International Congress.
- Network with industry leaders and corporate officials at SAEINDIA meetings and local section activities.
- Save Rs.2500 to Rs.10000 while attending SAEINDIA professional development business and TOP TECH Programs.
