Training & Placements

Placement Cell

The placement cell of SKR Engineering College is successful in placing many students as interns / employees in the corporate world. The objective of the placement cell is to encourage internships and create awareness among the students about the professional requirements of the employers and through the internships the students learn the working culture of companies and have a more mature understanding of the needs of the employers. Internship also helps in keeping in touch with various companies; it not only gives a practical exposure to the students, but also helps the placement cell in developing further contacts and strengthening relationship for future placements in the campus.2010 – 11, the Tin Jubilee year has rained jobs on SKR. Close to 60% of the eligible students were directly placed.

Corporate giants like TCS, Cognizant, HCL, Wipro, Bahwan Cybertek, Birlasoft, Mu - Sigma and many more have visited our campus for placements. The response was overwhelming. Registrations, submitting the resumes, making rehearsals and GD practices with friends with mixed emotions, some nervous fearing failure, some bursting with enthusiasm and confidence, this was the condition of the students lined up for the placement interviews. Every company had almost the same flow of events starting with the presentation in the theatrix, followed by the aptitude test-written and online, further followed by the telephonic rounds and interviews. The process of selection was 7-8 hrs long, testing student’s patience and emotional character. Every round was an elimination round. Most of the companies that visited offered letters of selection to the successful candidates.

Placement & Guidance Cell

The cell aims at finding the appropriate placement for each candidate commensurate with his/her qualification and aptitude. It prepares students to be employable by organizing lectures, Seminars, presentations and providing training through aptitude tests, Group discussions, mock interviews. It Provides information about job opportunities and prospects of Higher Education.

Another feature of the placement cell is that it keeps in touch with its alumni especially those who were not placed while on campus and offers them opportunities until they are suitably placed.
